AFDO is an initiative of Alternative Development Organization – ADO designed to shift current operating system of Africa from old model of exploitation to new model of empowerment. It enables the people of Africa to take charge of their future by designing and implementing their own operating system which is based on the principle of Environmental Responsibility, Energy Efficiency, and Sustainability (EES).

To take a step towards creation of a New Development Model for the remaining 95% of the world based on principles of:

Why Africa Needs ADM

Total Area is 30.2 M sq. km

20% of total landmass in the world
Population density only 30.5/sq.km. (India – 368, China – 140, World – 52)
Only 13 countries have arable land > 15% of landmass, and 23 countries have < 5% arable land
